Decisions

As I think back on recent events, more specifically just this night, I wonder what consumed my better judgment. Nothing really comes to my mind except for the fact that I am a teenager myself. The more logical side of me had said to just continue on the worn, correct path and to not do anything potentially regretful. Then there was this other half. This half that always is nibbling on my thoughts, telling me about the more hazardous road. A road which did not always guarantee a positive ending. And somehow, I do not know what it is, when you are this age that little voice becomes louder and louder until it overwhelms the sensible one, and all you are listening to is the tempting sound. Maybe you know what I am talking about; although, it seems I have no one who hears what I am saying. If there is anyone out there, I wonder if you know what I am talking about.

Once the deed is done there is no turning back. All that can be done is to face what has just occurred. Sometimes, that face is angry. Actually, it usually is angry. There haven't been many occasions where it ends up with a positive greeting, a happy welcoming.

The Beginning

Teens, what a curious bunch. How is one to really personify the time of life when most mistakes are made? Let me tell you, it won't be done easily. So far, the most common saying is this is the greatest time of a person's life. Yet, if you were to ask if they were to have the choice to go back, the answer is consistent. No. The answer is no. To relive every moment is too overwhelming to do. Even so, there are still great moments in the awkward years. What are those moments? Are they orthodox for every person?
